Each treatment session is unique to each patient. During your appointment, your practitioner will assess your current situation and tailor the treatment accordingly. More information about Osteopathy can be found in Our Approach
What to Expect during your 1 hour appointment:
Comprehensive Assessment: Your session will begin with a thorough assessment to understand your unique needs.
Personalized Treatment: Based on the assessment, your therapist will use a variety of manual therapy techniques to address your concerns.
Education and Self-Care: You will receive valuable information about your condition and practical tips for self-care between sessions. This may include "homework" exercises that you can do to support your recovery.

The time for symptom relief is dependent upon the person. Some people may respond faster or slower to the treatments depending on what their body requires to address the underlying issues. Osteopathic Therapists do not “fix” the patient, they help the patient address the root causes of dysfunction in order to help them find their health.

To ensure as much information can be gained by visual assessment and palpation, please wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy access to the legs, arms, and back is preferred. This can include shorts, yoga pants, or loose sweatpants paired with a sports bra, tank top, or loose fitting shirt. For everyone’s comfort, feel free to wear what works best for you while still allowing for the necessary examination areas to be accessible.

The frequency of follow-up sessions depends on your individual needs. Typically, appointments are spaced 1-4 weeks apart to allow your body time to integrate and adapt to the changes from each treatment.
To see the most significant results, consider aiming for at least 3 sessions. This allows us to build on the initial progress and address any deeper issues contributing to your symptoms. You might feel positive changes after the first session, but sometimes tackling long-standing problems takes more time.
